Swami Vivekananda said - 'Service to man is service to God.'

Thus, it is our first duty to serve society.

SIGNIFICANCE OF SERVICE

→ It humbles us → Exposes us to different values → Makes us emotionally intelligent → Motivates us to do good for others → Gives us satisfaction → Makes us calm → Helps us to practice empathy and compassion.

Close · a way forward

After having served, we can attend to ourselves.

Salvation of soul can be achieved through meditation.

However, forming the right kind of atmosphere and environment around us is necessary so that we can focus on our meditation and gain salvation.

Thus, we must learn to serve selflessly, just like great personalities like Mahatma Gandhi and Mother Teresa did.
