How a plan reaches you

UPSC Grade sells plans of credits, one credit for each answer marked, monthly or yearly, and top-ups of credits while a plan runs. It is a digital service, so nothing is posted or shipped. This page says what you get and when.

The short version

  • Nothing is shipped. Your plan and its credits arrive as soon as the payment is confirmed, usually within a minute.
  • Each answer you send is marked with one of your credits, with no daily limit while a plan is on, usually within minutes of you confirming what we read.
  • Each renewal adds its credits as soon as its charge goes through.
  • If you paid and your plan or credits haven’t arrived within a day, we add them or refund you in full.

What you get

A plan brings credits, one for each answer marked: 150 a month on Mains Monthly, 300 on Mains Max Monthly, 1,500 a year on Mains Annual and 4,000 on Mains Max Annual. Unused credits carry over while your plan renews, and top-ups add more while it runs. While a plan is on there is no daily limit, the AI Mentor has no message limit, and apps you link mark answers from your credits. Each copy can be up to 10 MB and 100 pages.

The plan is on the account you were signed in to when you paid, and can’t be moved to another account. It is for your own answers: our Terms say what that means.

When it starts

Your plan turns on as soon as Razorpay confirms the payment, usually within a minute, and you can use it straight away. If the page closes before then, it still turns on: Razorpay tells us directly. A bank can take a little longer to confirm a new autopay; the page then says it is confirming, and your plan turns on by itself once the bank has.

The same plan bought while paid time is still running starts when that time ends. Moving up to a bigger plan takes effect at once: you pay the difference between the two prices, the extra credits arrive straight away, and your plan’s dates stay the same. A top-up’s credits arrive as soon as its payment is confirmed.

Each renewal

A plan that renews is charged when its paid time ends, and carries on, its credits added to the ones you have, as soon as the charge goes through: by UPI or a card that is usually within minutes, and by netbanking it can take longer. If a renewal can’t be charged, Razorpay tries again over the next few days, and we email you; your credits keep working meanwhile, Free’s daily limits apply until a charge goes through, and if none does, the plan ends with its credits. Your copies and marks always stay.

When a copy is marked

A copy is marked within minutes of you checking what we read. With a plan, there is no daily limit. On Free, up to 5 copies a day are marked; one you send after that is kept as you sent it and marked after 5:30 am India time, or when you tap to mark it then.

On a day when marking across the whole site runs far past normal, new copies wait in line and are marked after midnight, India time. Nothing you sent is lost.

If it doesn't arrive

If you paid and your plan or credits haven’t arrived within a day, write to support@upscgrade.com from the email you sign in with, with Razorpay’s reference for the payment. We add them, or refund you in full, to the method you paid with, within 7 business days. A payment that can’t be used, such as a second autopay paid by mistake, we refund by ourselves at once, without you writing in. More on refunds is on our Refunds page.
