About
About UPSC Grade
UPSC Grade marks your UPSC Mains answers against how real toppers wrote theirs. Write an answer on paper and photograph it, upload a PDF, or type it in, and see what a topper did differently, and what to change in yours.
What it does
- Answer Evaluation. Each answer gets a mark, with notes on its intro, body and conclusion written on your own page, a topper’s answer to the same question or the closest one, and your answer improved.
- Practice. UPSC’s own Mains questions since 2013, a few at a time or a whole paper on a 3-hour clock, and tests that toppers sat while they prepared. Prelims questions from UPSC’s own papers, checked against UPSC’s key as you answer.
- Toppers’ copies. Read how rank-holders opened, built and closed their answers, in copies they and coaching institutes published.
- An AI Mentor that has read your own marked copies. Ask it where you lost marks, what you keep missing, or what to write next, in English or Hindi.
It marks GS1, GS2, GS3 and GS4, and Sociology Paper I and II, in English or Hindi.
How far to trust a mark
Marking is still in beta. A mark is what a strict evaluator might give, judged against how toppers write: read it as a second opinion, not a final verdict, and use it to see what to fix. Before a copy is marked, you see the questions and answers as we read them, so a misread can be caught.
We are not part of, or connected to, the Union Public Service Commission. Our marks are not UPSC’s, and they are not your UPSC score.
What it costs
Starting is free. Your first 30 answers are marked free, for life, and today’s question is marked free every day. The AI Mentor answers 5 messages a day, and Prelims practice, timed papers, UPSC Trends and your Progress are free.
Paid plans come with credits, one for each answer marked: Mains, 150 a month or 1,500 a year, and Mains Max, 300 a month or 4,000 a year. They renew by themselves until you cancel, and you can cancel any time. The prices are on our Pricing page.
