Refunds and cancellation
What happens if you want your money back
UPSC Grade sells plans of credits that renew by themselves until you cancel, and top-ups of credits while a plan runs. You can cancel any time. This page says what happens when you cancel, and what is and isn’t refunded.
The short version
- Payments are final. Once a plan, a renewal or a top-up is paid, we don’t refund it: not for a change of mind, and not for credits or time you didn’t use.
- Cancel any time, in one tap. Renewals stop, your plan runs to the end of the time you paid for, with its credits, and nothing more is charged.
- A payment that can’t be used, such as a second autopay paid by mistake, we refund in full by ourselves, at once, and email you. If you were charged and no plan or credits came, we refund the money in full too.
- When the reason is ours, we refund the days left on your plan: if we stop running UPSC Grade, close your account when you did nothing wrong, or change our terms so a plan is worth less.
Payments are final
The price, and how often a plan renews, are shown before you pay. Once a payment has gone through, it is not refunded: not for a change of mind, not because you stopped preparing, and not because you wrote less than you meant to. That includes a renewal: we email you before each one, and your bank sends its own notice the day before, so you can cancel in time.
Credits, your 30 free ones among them, today’s free question and the free checks are not money, and are never refunded or paid out. A credit spent on an answer we couldn’t mark comes back to you by itself.
When the reason is ours, we refund the days left on your plan, at what you paid per day: if we stop running UPSC Grade (we’ll tell you at least 30 days before), if we close your account when you did nothing wrong, or if we change our terms so that a plan is worth less and you cancel because of it. The money goes back to the method you paid with.
Cancelling
You can cancel any time, in one tap, from Plan and payments in your account. Or cancel the autopay for UPSC Grade in your UPI app or with your bank: Razorpay tells us, and it counts the same.
Renewals stop at once. Your plan runs to the end of the time you’ve paid for, with its credits, and nothing more is charged. Then your account is on Free: the plan’s credits end, and every copy and mark stays. Cancelling doesn’t refund the time or credits already paid for; it means you won’t pay for more.
A plan you paid for once doesn’t renew, so there is nothing to cancel: it ends when its time is up.
A payment taken in error
Some payments can’t be used: a second autopay paid while your first one renews, a move up paid after your plan had already changed, or a top-up paid after your plan had ended. Each of these adds nothing, and we refund it in full by ourselves, at once, and email you. It reaches the account you paid from in 5 to 7 working days.
If you were charged and your plan or credits never came, write to support@upscgrade.com from the email you sign in with, with the date and the amount. We refund the money in full, to the method you paid with, within 7 business days of your message. How long it then takes to show depends on your bank or UPI app.
If a payment failed, or autopay couldn’t be set up, but money left your account, it never reached us: your bank returns it, usually within 5 to 7 working days. If it hasn’t, write to us and we’ll help you find it.
If an account is closed or deleted
If we close an account for breaking our terms, such as one plan shared by many people, the plan on it is not refunded, and its autopay is stopped. If we close one by mistake, it is opened again or the days left on its plan are refunded.
If you delete your own account, its autopay is cancelled first, so nothing more is charged, and the time and credits left on your plan go with the account; they aren’t refunded. To use them, cancel the plan instead, and delete the account once the plan has ended.
