Code of Ethics is broad values and principles which act as guiding path for a civil servant.

Social Media platforms are now being used by all.

(1) Sometimes it has been misused by civil servants.

(2) To disapprove of govt. or support any political party.

Need

  1. Civil servants are role models thus their actions have far reaching consequences.

  2. Personal life & public life should be separate. But civil servant is first a public servant => He/she needs to work for society.
