Relation between religion & science

Close · a summary

According to linear evolutionary theorists like Comte, science and religion are at opposing ends. Even Weber states that influence of religion will decline with growing rationality and secularism.

However other scholars see complementary relation between them. Einstein states that Science without religion

is lame and religion without science is blind.

Science helps to remove irrational, orthodox practices from religion, whereas religion steps in when science cannot answer about life and death.

Hence science and religion are like two sides of the same coin, they complement and enrich each other.
