Losing significance of NAM, G77, Davos

Arguments in favour.

① decreasing western capitalist hegemony and rise of multipolar world order has eroded credibility of Davos.

② The value of non-alignment is not pragmatic and USSR is no longer a threat to USA. reducing relevance of NAM.

③ The global south under G77 is a diverse group with often competing interests

④ Small organisations like QUAD, I2U2, AUKUS 4.1 have specialised focuses 4.2 easier to forge consensus 4.3 comprise of like minded countries

Arguments Against ① fragmentation of global order by multilateral organisations will increase difficulties in addressing global problems like war, terrorism, climate change etc.

② NAM, G77 can boost South-South solidarity + create equitable world order.

⑤ Davos → multistakeholder forum
