- 2.Under the Scheme, Cadastral Maps are digitised.
- 3.An initiative has been undertaken to transliterate the Records of Rights from local language to any of the languages recognized by the Constitution of India.
Which of the statements given above are correct ?
AnswerUPSC’s answer is (d).
All three statements are correct. The Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme is a Central Sector scheme with 100 per cent funding by the Centre. It digitises cadastral (village) maps and computerises the record of rights, and it transliterates records from the local language into any of the languages in the Eighth Schedule, so that citizens can read them. Remember: DILRMP aims at modern, transparent land records.
- 1. The Centre funds the scheme fully.
- 2. Cadastral maps are digitised under the scheme.
- 3. Records of rights are being transliterated into Eighth Schedule languages.
