AnswerThe answer is (a).

Bolivia is landlocked, one of the two landlocked countries of South America along with Paraguay; it lost its Pacific coast to Chile in the War of the Pacific (1879-83). Peru has a Pacific coast, Suriname faces the Atlantic, and Uruguay lies on the Atlantic and the Rio de la Plata. Remember: Bolivia and Paraguay are South America's two landlocked states.
