Sociology of India

This idea concerns with understanding sociological dynamics by understanding cultural and civilization of India i.e. India as subject is means inends itself. Branch-es of Indology perpetuates idea of sociology of India.

e.g. G S Ghurye studied Indian society through its scriptures like Mahabharat, Ramayan etc.

Similarly structural indologist aspect was derived as part of sociology of India. Louis Dumont studied Dharmashastras and Dharmasutras to understand the same.
