As a wedding planner, you have recently received an offer to organize the wedding of a highly influential family. During your interactions, you were highly impressed with the high moral values of the bride. On the day of the sangeet ceremony, while passing through the hallway, you hear the distressed cries of a child. Upon investigating, you find a young girl in tears who happens to be the daughter of the cook you have hired for the wedding. The girl confides in you, alleging that the groom's father attempted to exploit her. Promptly, you inform the bride of this unsettling revelation. Subsequently, the bride and the girl's family convene at your office to address the issue. Despite your urging, the girl's parents refuse to lodge a formal complaint. Later, you learn that the bride has offered a significant sum of money to the girl to keep silent. This is a significant project, and you have already invested crores in the wedding. Do you think the girl's family took the right decision? Why or why not? Discuss the ethical issues and your course of action.
