AnswerUPSC’s answer is (d).

Aliyar in Tamil Nadu, Isapur in Maharashtra and Kangsabati in West Bengal are all water reservoirs created by dams: the Aliyar dam, the Isapur dam on the Penganga and the Kangsabati dam. They are not uranium deposits, tropical rain forests or cave systems. Remember reservoir and dam names that appear in the news.

Why each option is right or wrong
  • (a) None of them is a uranium site.
  • (b) None of them is a rain forest.
  • (c) None of them is a cave system.
  • (d) Correct: all three are water reservoirs.
