The Fortaleza Declaration came out of the sixth BRICS summit, held in Fortaleza, Brazil, in July 2014. It announced the New Development Bank and the Contingent Reserve Arrangement, each with an initial size of 100 billion US dollars, to give the BRICS countries a funding alternative to the World Bank and IMF. Link a summit city to its outcome: Fortaleza means BRICS bank.
