The Victoria Falls, on the Zambezi river between Zambia and Zimbabwe, are among the world's largest waterfalls, known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya, 'the smoke that thunders'. Niagara lies on the Niagara River between Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. Remember the Zambezi for Victoria Falls and for the Kariba and Cahora Bassa dams.
