The Bokaro thermal power station is in the Bokaro district of Jharkhand, in the Damodar valley, and is run by the Damodar Valley Corporation. By the time of the question the area was in Jharkhand, which was carved out of Bihar in November 2000. Remember Bokaro for its steel plant too, and Chandrapura and Durgapur as other DVC thermal stations.
