bI–D, II–C, III–B, IV–E
cI–C, II–D, III–B, IV–A
dI–B, II–D, III–C, IV–A

AnswerThe answer is (c).

Surya Sen led the Chittagong Armoury Raid of 1930. Ram Prasad Bismil was the leading figure in the Kakori train robbery of 1925. Jatin Das, an accused in the Lahore Conspiracy Case, died in 1929 after a long hunger strike in jail. Lala Hardayal was a founder of the Ghadar Party. Vasudev Phadke, left over, was an earlier rebel of 1879 in Maharashtra.

  • I. I-C: Surya Sen led the Chittagong Armoury Raid.
  • II. II-D: Ram Prasad Bismil was the main figure of the Kakori conspiracy.
  • III. III-B: Jatin Das, a Lahore Conspiracy accused, died on hunger strike.
  • IV. IV-A: Lala Hardayal was a founder of the Ghadar Party.
Why each option is right or wrong
  • (a) III-A and IV-E are wrong: the Lahore Conspiracy goes with Jatin Das, and the Ghadar Party with Hardayal.
  • (b) I-D and II-C are swapped: Sen led the Chittagong raid and Bismil the Kakori case.
  • (c) Right: Chittagong-Surya Sen, Kakori-Bismil, Lahore-Jatin Das, Ghadar-Hardayal.
  • (d) I-B and III-C are wrong: Chittagong goes with Surya Sen and the Lahore case with Jatin Das.
