Sarvodaya

Refers to the principle that good of the individual is in the good of all. It thus promotes the values of altruism, public service, charity and distributing wealth to the needy, which is beyond our requirement.

Trusteeship

Close

Gandhi believed that every resource and thing on the Earth belong to God. Thus we as people and his creation, are guardians of his property.

It is thus our duty to equitably share it. The rich and affluent must see themselves as trustees of God's will, and thus share their wealth with the needy.
