The palm oil trees are majorly located in south east Asia - in countries like:- (1) Indonesia (2) Malaysia
(5) phillipines , etc Apart from south east Asian nation , African nations also contribute to palm oil production Major Environmental issues faced by them !- (1) Climate change has led to melting of glaciers which has further led to rise in sea levels (2) Rise in sea level has led to submergence of land which was fertile for growing palm trees (3) Variation in temperature & moisture condition has further impacted the quality of the produce (4) Due to climate change phenom-ena like El-Nino has become
very prominent impacting the rainfall pattern that is further hampering the produce.
(5) The incursion of sea water into the fertile land has further led to degradation of the soil making it more saline & unsuitable for cultivation.
