Performance in mitigating pollution :-
Although NCAP has been taking various initiatives to curb air pollution, there are no effective improvement because.
As per World Air Quality Report of 2021, 11 out of 15 polluting cities are in India.
And WHO recommends 5 ug of particulate matter but in India average particulate matter is 50ug which is almost 10 times high.
Hence there is need for stricter laws and polices to have improved quality of air.
Without change in attitude among people to use green energy, it is difficult to achieve the targets of NCAP.
