Schemes: 52 Prelims questions since 2013, 10 in Prelims 2026 alone. They test features, the period and who funds it. In Mains, 33 news-triggered questions, mostly GS3.
Why it matters
- Gives traditional artisans a direct route to buyers, cutting dependence on middlemen and local markets.
- Supports preservation of craft heritage along with livelihoods.
Problems
- Artisans may lack digital literacy, reliable internet, and logistics access.
- A common brand needs consistent quality, and reach depends on sustained marketing.
Way forward
- Pair the platform with digital training, credit and design support.
- Track artisan incomes and sales to judge the programme's results.

No practice question for this one; the card may still help an answer. Why: Scheme launched Nov 2024 run by NBCFDC; worth a card but little news-fresh detail for a question. Schemes make 52 Prelims questions, mostly fresh.
Worth revising until Prelims 2028: most news questions come within two years of the event.
